LEADERSHIP AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Organizations who band together to form a State Alliance, eventually learn the difficulties of building the Alliance while also maintaining leadership of their own local organizations.
MSG can provide third party leadership as your State Alliance Director, performing duties such as board development, organizing meetings, regular communication with business and political leaders, and facilitate statewide networking opportunities.
LOBBYIST LIAISONSHIP
Working with your lobbyist to secure meetings with politicians can be a job unto itself.
Allow MSG to be part of your team so you can focus on other duties. We will work hand in hand with your lobbyist and your State Alliance Leadership to help propel you forward.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS/
COMMUNICATION
Let MSG serve as the key spokesperson for your State Alliance. Our ability to maintain communication with local Executive Staff, State Alliance Leadership, and Government Officials will help ensure that everyone is on the same page with your goals.
GRANT MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING
With experience in managing Federal, State, and Local funding, MSG can serve as the primary point person for your Alliance's funding.
This includes developing reports for funds received, ensuring accurate and timely reports, invoicing and payments to local organizations, enforce letter of agreements, and more.
ADVOCACY
Not sure how to take advantage of Government Relations? MSG can develop and implement annual legislative strategies, target policy issues, organize legislative events at your State Capitol, and build a stewardship plan with elected officials.

ABOUT US/
OUR TEAM
Our Government Relations Team is made up of experienced individuals who have one mission: To prepare our clients for forward progress.
Not only does our team lead, advise, and mentor you through the unique channels of State Alliances, lobbyists, political leadership, and government grants but we also share in your experiences, having been in your positions before.
When you select MSG to work with your State Alliance, you are choosing to use a partner that strives to strengthen the power of your collected voices. The ability to establish positive relationships with YOUR team is equally a priority for us.
OUR CORE
VALUES
Impactful - Whether MSG is leading your entire State Alliance or simply managing one of your grants, our focus is to be as impactful as possible, as we lead you to new opportunities.
Objective - Having a third party work with your State Alliance offers outside perspective. This perspective allows for the shaping of new ideas, goals, and strategies.
Personable - Being former Nonprofit CEO's and Government Relation Directors, we just don't give advice, we have also walked in your shoes. At MSG we are always a phone call or email away. Clients will never be lost in a sea of bureaucracy or passed to other associates or Jr Associates.
Affordable - We believe our work should be affordable to organizations and two main reasons: 1) It provides an opportunity for all organizations to receive assistance and resources , without the need to “break the bank” or needing to be a multi-million dollar organization. 2) Less money spent on our contract means more money that can be used for your mission.
TESTIMONIALS

Grace Johnson
BGCA State Alliance
Board Member
Iowa and Illinois
I have had the pleasure of working with both Eric and Chuck in advancing our Alliance's presence with state legislators and with local club boards.
Eric came to us just when we most needed his calm, reassuring and focused leadership. He was always available to assist and advise the Alliance board and local organization executives. I especially appreciated his attention to detail, as well as his personable approach to the challenges we tackled.
Chuck represented the very real issues facing organization's like ours on a daily basis and brought a practical perspective to our efforts to better serve our organization and clients. Both Eric and Chuck understand the potential, the process and the power of collaboration and consortia to move an organization closer to achieving its mission.
I would welcome conversation regarding their professional skills and insightful leadership.

Timi Brown-Powers
State Legislator
I was as honored to first meet Chuck Rowe nine years ago as I entered into State Politics. At that time Chuck was the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley. Chuck immediately reached out to me and invited me to tour the facility as well as taking time to educate me on the mission, successes, budget, future goals, and needs of the center. When in session Chuck even took time out of his busy schedule to advocate at the Capitol. I so appreciate Chucks dedication, communication, and service to nonprofits. Chuck is approachable, easy to work with, dedicated and has always been great about reaching out and cultivating an open and positive relationship with myself and all community leaders.

Anesa Kajtazovic
Former State Legislator
I've known that Chuck was one of the rare nonprofit leaders since first meeting through my political work a decade ago. I've seen first hand that he has an extraordinary ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His relationship building skills will help any State Alliance grow their voices in a system that can be complex and challenging to navigate.

BGCA MN State Alliance
Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Star
I had a glimpse into the passion of Eric Bonley while he served a multitude of organizations as the Minnesota State Alliance Director. Eric was a trusted partner across the State and actively involved in statewide advocacy by addressing the needs of youth, teenagers and young adults.
Under his guidance, leadership and strategic direction our local organization was successful in achieving its mission by counting on sustained resources from the state year after year.

James Randolph
BGCA Ohio State Alliance
Former Board President
The first order of business when I became President of the Board of the Ohio Alliance of the Boys & Girls Clubs, was to revitalize the organization. Coming out of the Great Recession, the board needed an overhaul. Eric Bonley was the Director Government Affairs in the Midwest Region at that time. His guidance, knowledge and all-around expertise was extremely helpful as we designed the strategy and tactics to strengthen and grow the Alliance.
His positive attitude and willingness to help allowed us to accelerate our efforts, and helped put us on a path of success in gaining visibility and financial support from the Ohio Legislature. The solid foundation that was laid during that period has allowed the Alliance to continue to grow under the current board in both financial support from the legislature and positive impact in the communities served.
I believe you will find Eric to be a great asset in helping set the Strategy and Tactics necessary to grow your State Alliance..
