ONBOARDING YOUR NEW DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR . . . ONE PERSON'S PERSPECTIVE

So many times an organization will hire a Development Director and then expect money to come rolling through the doors magically.

This week Chuck Rowe, from MSG, took time to talk with Luke Petsch, who is the Development Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley (Iowa/Illinois) who started just this past spring. Being newer to working with the organization, we get some of his thoughts on how well his onboarding went, what he wish he thought of learning when he first started, and matters most to him in the onboarding process. Of course keeping in mind that this is just one person's perspective, it's a great way to learn what things one might want to consider when onboarding a new person. (Oh yeah, Luke might be a great contact if you want to grow your annual golf outing)
