The MSG Team
OUR IDEAL NONPROFIT PARTNERS AND OUR CHALLENGE TO YOU . . .

"What types of nonprofits does Midwest Studies Group like to work with", is a question we get often. Although there are a few things we look for, one thing stands out more than anything . . .
We want to work with organizations and leadership who want to grow. We want those who strive each day to become better than they were yesterday. We want those who know the importance of pushing themselves and taking risks, in order to to bring them to a new level. Frankly, we want those who are not content with being the SAME organization year after year.
It reminds me a story from when I was a kid. I was on the high school basketball team and it was the first practice of the season my junior year. We ran lap, after lap, after lap until we were finally given a break. During that quick break I proudly proclaimed, "That wasn't too bad. I didn't even break a sweat".
The captain of the team was left unimpressed and said, "That means you didn't work hard to push yourself", which left me sheepishly quiet. Although I never finished out the season (which is a story unto itself but mostly related to my nonexistent talent), what I do remember to this day, is that quote.
So if you are pushing yourself to want increased connection with your community, a higher commitment to planned giving, a desire to bring in new potential donors, or a vision to have a strategic plan in place . . . then Midwest Studies Group might be the partner for you. However, whether you choose to use us or not . . . we encourage you not to be stagnant. If you feel like things are easy and you don't want to push yourself, we challenge you to increase your goals, even if it is only slightly. Best wishes as we enter the second half of the year.
